Exactly five years after my first presentation I was back at PASIC, this time with a presentation THE CHAPIN HERITAGE: COLLAPSED RUDIMENTS. With an exciting tour through China before entering the US and some interesting challenges with my visa I finally made it to Indianapolis. Many new contacts, meeting old friends … oh, and I think I played quite well, too – at least people gave me standing ovations. Expect some footage with YouTube soon, here some pics from behind the scenes with the amazing Mark Reilly (Old Guard Drum & Fife), John Wooton, Ndugu Chancler, Peter Erskine, “drumming brother” Jost Nickel, Marco Soccoli, Cathy Rich (yes!) and new drum-mate Jason McGerr (Death Cab for Cutie).
